Reset networkport PM891....
I have a costumer having problems with PM891 network ports not beeing enabled after network storm. The CPU:s are i redundant mode and we have tested to restart each of them by take out the fuse. No differens, it still complains about protection on CN1 in control builder and it doesn't answer in rnrp.
If there is trouble in PM891 in redundant mode and trouble with ARP communication. The solution in that case to release port was to perform a failover. In our case that is not working.
So i wonder if their is any other way to release the ports or how it is done?
thank you in advance.
best regards Mattias
RNRP blocks the interface after network strom is detected and automatically unblocks it once the storm is rectified.
If RNRP doesnt release the port, it means that it still detects a storm. Are you sure you do not have a storm in your network? Check it using RNRP fault tracer by selectiong option-1 ( Search own network for nodes with configuration or network errors).
You can manually release the blocked port in a windows machine but I do not think you can unblock a port for a controller. But you can try.
1) Open RNRP fault Tracer window.
2) Choose the option-7 "Unblock interface blocked in..."
3) Provide the blocked port IP address and press ENTER.
