Alarm Lists showing wrong number of alarms
System Version: 800xA 5.1 FP4 Rev D RU1
OS: Win7Ent (x64) & WinSrv2008R2 (x64)
Connect: AC400 (Advant)
We have an issue where the operator alarm band (and the alarm lists) are showing the wrong number of alarms (e.g. the "IsUnack" value). The value is currently showing negative value. If an new alarm comes in, the number does increase (e.g. -31 goes to -30 when a new alarm is unacked in the list).
When opening the alarm lists on all of the 3 red. aspect servers, two show the wrong value/count, while the third ("master" Alarm Manager provider) has the correct value. All the alarm lists have the same alarms listed. Servers/Clients connected to the "Alarm Manager" providers show same values as the respective aspect servers (affinity).
1) A restart of the "unnsynced" services should fix this problem? Is there any other way to force a re-sync or to confirm they are out of sync?
2) Any idea what could cause this issue? According to operators they noticed it during NAS testing (many alarms)
I restarted "Alarm Manager" SP's for the out-of-sync servers, and this fixed the issue (it also froze the tabbed workplaces in Control Room for 10-20 seconds both times they switched provider, which was a bit unexpected..).
Would still be interested in any info as to what could cause this, and any other ways to sync the servers.
