Batch Reactors - Sequence
I haven't the batch manager installed on my 800xA system.
I need to manage a new batch reactor without using the batch manager.
So, exist any ABB library that contain module (such as sequence module) and function block designed to manage a batch sequence/reactor ?
Yes, there are several ways to do this. As others have suggested you can look at the BatchLib functions included in the base Control Builder libraries and also look at the PCDevice Library.
At a very basic level, you can write your procedures in SFC with no special libraries.
BatchLib gives some basic modules for implementing an S88 Batch system. It is not as complete as the "Batch Manager" software but is quite good enough for a simple reactor where you do not require complicated phase and operations for different products. The batch lib can also store recipes in the AC800M controller.
The Process Control Equipment Libary (PCEL) is an extension of the PCDevice Lib. This a library of pre-defined control objects like Motors, Valves, PID controllers etc. It is not really a batch library but it does have some features that make batch handling easier. PCEL makes it easier to build S88 Equipment Modules and has several features to support this.
You might also want to look at "ProBase". This is originaly a library for Food & Beverage processing, but really it is a library for routing product between S88 units and also for CIP recipe handling. So you can use it in any S88 process that requires routing and CIP, but not complicated product recipe handling.
