Advand display conversion to Visual Basic
Hello,
when converting Advant UNIX displays to Visual Basic under 800xA using VB's Display Conversion, I get errors like:
"Warning-1002-No Configuration file for statics part of paTXTPD02"
"Warning-1002-No Configuration file for statics part of DYNKEYS"
I asume, these are display elements, that the converter doesn not know the configuration of. These elements are then not converted into VB display.
Please see logfile for more details.
Has anyone encountered this issue? There are configuration files on UNIX that seem to describe these elements. Is it possible to 'tell' the converter how to convert these elements?
There are quite a many of them.
Thanks
Tomas

DYNKEYS ar the dynamic keys wich are under each display on the OS. As you have to redesign the navigation completely for 800xA I wouldn't bother about those. The other one is a custom display element wich you can create a converter for. Look in C:\Program Files\ABB Industrial IT\Operate IT\AC 400 Connect\DisplayConverter\ConfigFiles and open the files with a text editor (don't double click as it opens the wrong program).
If you are going to convert to PG2 at the end only make sure you have the size and properties rigth of the dislay elment you map with those conversion files.
