Failed connection from IEC61850 OPC Server to Schneider relay.
I'm trying to connect 800xa to a Sepam S80 (Schneider relay) via IEC61850 OPC Server (CET), without luck.
The SCD file importet into CET is created in IET600, where the CID files from the OPC server and Schneider relays are imported. All the engineering with subnetwork and MMS communication have also been made in IET600.
I've done all this IEC61850 engineering before with ABB relays, without problems. As far i can see, the only differences in CET between this project and the project with ABB relay's, are that the Schneider relay's access point name is AP1 and not S1 and that the Schneider relay doesn't have a technical key, when it's importet in CET.
Does anybody know if one of these two differences can be the reason to why there is no connection between the Schneider relay and CET?
In PCM600 you need to match the technical key and the IP-address, before you can go in online mode on the ABB relay, so maybe it's the same with CET?
If you need a further explanation, please write.
For your information, the server where the CET is installed on, has connection to the relay. I've tried to ping it, and that connection is fine.
In advance, thanks for the anwers.

Dear Matthias:
These 2 differences should not impact on the communication between IED and OPC Server. I did 3 projects with Schneider IEDs on 800xA and it worked, even with redundant OPC Servers. So let's make it work! :-)
I remember one particularity of Schneider IEDs: the Report Control Blocks have a different treatment for handling multiple instances, i.e. it creates 2 different RCBs in CID file for the same RCB, with the instance number added in the end. Ex:
RCB name: RCB_EDT will be seen as RCB_EDT01 and RCB_EDT02 in CID file.
Then, our OPC Server will add an additional instance number, so it expects to read RCB_EDT0101 and RCB_EDT0201 from the IED.
In order to verify if this is the issue, I suggest the following: on CET, below the RCB object there is one object called "ReportEnabled". Try to delete this object from one specific IED and "Update and Reload" config again. Check if it works.
If not, come back to me with your feedback.
I hope it helps!

Found the problem. The OPC server network card has a IP-address that ends with 80.31 and a subnet mask that ends with 252.0, while the relay has a IP-address taht ends with 81.101 and subnet mask that ends with 255.0. Therefor should the OPC server be able to get signals from the relay, but is it a restriction in CET, that OPC server and relay needs to have the same subnet mask?

There is no such restriction in CET when we can ping to the IED it should communicate.
