Communication with PLC ABB Advant AC450
I would like to ask you if it is possible to communicate between PLC Siemens (any: S7 300, S7 400, S7 1500) and PLC ABB Advant 450.
I could se some threads about communication via DP-DP coupler. I would like to ask if it is possible to communicate on the base of ethernet or on the lower layer of the ISO-OSI.
PLC Siemens: Ethernet, Profinet
PLC ABB Advant AC450: Master Bus 300, ??
Is there any converter to convert the data anyhow ?

The AC450 also supports Siemens 3964R serial protocol on a CI532V03 board.
In any case, a serial link of some kind is the preferred option.
I do NOT recommend an OPC connection to an AC450 controller. The controller is not optimised for OPC communications to a third party device and you can have some very serious problems if the OPC transfers are not configured correctly. If you do decide to use an OPC link then it is important that you use the correct uddate intervals (3 sec 9 sec or over 30 sec) and only write to properties that are supported. You can search this forum or see the manuals for further advice.
Profibus communication with AC450 is possible if CPU PM511 is used of library version QC07-BAS41*4.0/9. This library version is of working communication between AC450-S7 300 through CI541V1 profibus card and DpDp coupler. Maybe Profibus works with lower AC450 Lib version but I am not sure.
I can post working Profibus configuration in AC450 if you are interested. Definitely Profibus setup in AC450 is not user-friendly at all.
Other possible communication AC450-S7 is through OPC-to-OPC data transfer, like Property transfer in 800xA or Matrikon tool.
