Check IP adress, controller is empty
Hi.
Get this message when I try to go online and download program to PM856/830 PLC.
"Warning 9022 : Controller_1:HW Check if the correct IP address, 172.16.4.50, is being downloaded (controller is empty)"
But I am able to ping the controller with the IP-adress given, I have not been able to figure out why the error states the controller is empty when I am able to communicate with it. Im greatful for any reply to this request
thanks!

Its a warning - not an error.
Firstly, it says that this is a new application because the controller is empty (ie has no program). Its asking you to check that the programmed address in your new application ( ie the ethernet address in the hardware setings ) is the same as the address you configured on the controller with IP config, thats all.
The warning is there because if you didnt set all the addreses properly then you could lose comms with the controller after the download.
If everything is OK, just continue and go online.
"Warning 9022 : Controller_1:HW Check if the correct IP address, 172.16.4.50, is being downloaded (controller is empty)"
This warning is telling you that the controller with ip address 172.16.4.50 has not been downloaded with a project or has been reset and has no applications/programs in RAM. The IP configuration is stored seperately in flash prom and is retained even if the controller is reset or is powered down.
Hello,
This warning generally occurs when we download first time the hadrware configuration change to the empty controller with no application configured, only IP,hardware tree configured.

I get the same warning. The IP shown is no where to be found in the Project or on the controller. The controller is set with IP config tool. The IP shown in warning originates from other Project "save as" and then changed IP nr in the Project . So the warning could be relevant. The problem is I cant find the faulty IP shown in the Warning anywhere to change...
Where are all the places you need to input the IP adress of the controller?
