Yes, It is possible to make redundant AC 800FR with Rack IO cards using FI 810F +TK 831F cable + TB 870F + Rack IO, Check image below
Also there is possibility of using S800 IO over profibus, if you do not want to use rack io's anymore, you can achieve increased stability and reliability with upgrade, definetly. Recomended to contact your local ABB sales guys.

Yes I mean Rack I/Os and idea is realy to upgrade a DCP Freelance 2000 system
Actually I have sistem with DCP02 and I have problems with it ( It restarts time by time by itself) . So I need to increase stability and reliability. But if I will not be able to use can bus connection from both controllers I should stop in system without redundancy or change I/O cards as well.
By the way may be somebody can explain log file from DCP02 PLC.
Replacing a DCP02 or DCP10 with AC800F is no problem. The AC800F is a separate rack and using Fieldbus cards, you can interface with the CAN-3 based rack I/O, as well as Profibus I/O and devices.
If you want redundancy, two AC800F with additional Ethernet cards will provide that functionality. Cabling the system as stated above provides the redundant communications to the I/O cards.
