800xA system alarms doesn't show up in History
Because of a I/O-card that has been shutting down(possibly due to high ambient temperature), I recently ran into a problem with missing events in 800xA History(via Vtrin).
I was to check if we the card has shut down in the last couple of weeks. And I see, from an alarm we have put in the control modules to create an alarm if the .Status of the RealIO-datatype is showing 16#00FF, that this happened some weeks ago.
In the system alarm list in 800xA it only shows a certain time back or a certain amount of events, so I tried a search in Vtrin to find what the actual system alarm said. But it seems none of the I/O-alarms are showing up in Vtrin
Why is this? And can it be set up to be different? All other alarm regarding process, system, license etc. are showing up.
It also seems that Service and Audit events for the same I/O are coming up in History as well. But no sign of the System Simple Events.
Can anyone help me on this matter or point me in the right direction on what to look for?
If any event category filtering is applied on the 800xA History Event Collector Service group then 800xA History event collection will happen as per the filter.
For Checking event category filtering
1.Go to Service Structure > Services > 800xA History Event Collector, Service > Service Group.
2.In Aspect List, select Service Group Definition
3.In Special Configuration tab, under Event Categories section.
4.By default, all event categories check boxes are de-selected and included for event collection.
