Ethernet/IP devices not showing correct status when deenergized
Hello, everyone. We have a system 800xA SV 6.0.2 with a redundant CI873 architecture used to communicate with several Ethernet/IP devices in a DLR ring, which is being handled by EIP switches. Looking at the different statuses from said EIP devices through CBM in online mode, we have found that devices that are not running or energized either show "Device Not Found", which is expected, or "Channel error, I/O Connection error", which we have found during different configurations stages, but should not be the message when the device is off, from our point of view. The only way we have found to "update" the live status is to redownload the application to the controller; then, everything deenergized goes to "Device Not Found". Now, does anyone know if this is an expected behavior? Is there something we are not considering? We don't think it is adequae to have an error status when in reality a device is off.
Thank you in advance for any support.
