800xA and Visual Basics
I would like to create a numeric field that is going to display a sum of two analog inputs from two different controllers and also create a trend view of that sum. Could that be done in 800xA 5.1 version using Microsoft Visual Basics?
Thank you in advance,

Sounds like a job suited for a Property Translation?
A: $'51-TempServerRum:Control Connection:VALUE'
B: $'51-TempRemoteRum:Control Connection:VALUE'
A+B: $'51-TempRemoteRum:Control Connection:VALUE' + $'51-TempServerRum:Control Connection:VALUE'
Rum = room in Swedish, not the alcoholic beverage.
Can it be done ? - Yes.
Should you do it ? - NO !!!!
Adding numbers is a job for the controller - NOT the Display. Put the calculation where it belongs - in a PLC or in a calculation aspect. And remember that VB is obsolete and must be upgraded to PG2 soon. You cannot upgrade custom VB code like this easily.
