Automation Builder
i installed automation builder 1.2 in my engineering PC but I was not able to locate PM571 controller when I select new project.
Currently at my customer's site they only have 1 unit of AC500 controller w/ IO at that specific location, thus the backup I have is only the Codesys project file while there is no backup for the automation builder project file. How do I restore the project into Automation builder?
Also, which version of Automation builder can I download where I can find PM571 controller in it?

HI,
You can directly open Codesys V2.3 and and create new project with target selected as PM 571 Controller or else if you have backup file of some previous project containing PM 571 controller; you can directly open through Codesys V2.3.
Hope that helps.
Thx,
Rachit
Hi,
The PM571 CPU belongs to an older generation of controllers which were configured and programmed directly via. Codesys and Sycon.net tool (IP configuration).
As a general tip, CPUs with serial numbers containing 100R have firmware versions < V1.x and are programmed directly via codesys. If the serial number contains 200R/300R, the CPU firmware is V2.0 and above, and such controllers are to be programmed via Control Builder or Automation builder.
Please follow the below link, where Mr. Flavio has answered to an older question regarding PM571 ETH. I believe the answer in the link answers your question as well.

thanks to Rahil Mohammed, in fact in my old post I have suggested how to open via Codesys one old cpu type PM571. In addition to this, I would suggest you to switch to one new HW, for example PM573 Eth.
Hi if that is the case, once after I have successfully open the project file in codesys can I Login directly to the controller at site?
Also how do I verify the program at site is the same as the backup I have? And If it is different, how do I copy the backup from the site controller?
The analysis of your question assumes at least some information:
Do you have a program source file available on your computer?
If you do not have it available, is there an SD card installed in the cpu with the backup?
If you do not have at least one of these two options, you can not access the program inside the cpu.
If you have instead the souce file of the program, when you connect to the cpu and open in Codesys the backup copy, make sure that the communication parameters are ok.
Generally in one old cpu a TK 503 cable was used, in com 2 port.
During login operation, Codesys ask you if you want to overwrite the program inside the cpu, choose no and try make login.
But this operations assumes that you have a good experience with Codesys and development environment.
Any incorrect operation can lead to damage to the contents of the cpu (program)
