PU410 RTA Box network settings
Our Hirschmann MAR1140 switches are detecting several collisions on the ports communicating with some of our PU410 RTA Boxes.
When I check the configuration on the switches, I see they are set to auto negotiate the communication settings. The settings are negotiated to 100 Mbit/s HDX.
In the PU410 Specifications it says the ports are 100Mbit/s FDX (PC-side) & 10 Mbit/s HDX (DCN-side). [3BSE030340-510B pg. 252]
1) Does the PU410 support autonegotioate?
2) Should the settings be changed to 100Mbit/s FDX?
3) Could the HDX auto-setting be causing collisions?
If this shouldn't cause collisions; any ideas what could cause them? The MB300 networks already have a very high load, so I am suspecting this could also be a cause.

It is ideal to have 100mbps full duplex on the nic card of your connectivity server as the port on the rta board is configured for 100mbps full duplex. On the mb300 network you should keep it at 10 mbps half duplex.
Collisions happen mostly when the speed does not match or the load on the network does not match the bandwidth.
Changing nic card link speed online may result in data loss.
If I understand correctly, then the answer to each the 3 questions is:
(1) "No" (since it doesn't negotiate to FDX with my Hirschmann switches) ...
(2) "Yes" ...
(3) "Yes" (if enough traffic) ...
I will change the ports on Hirschmann switches (between server and RTA box) and server NIC's to 100Mbit FDX, and take measures for loss of communication during the update.
