PU410 Board configuration
Hello,
We are trying to add PU410 RTA bord to our network. We have five AC410 controllers and are trying to connect them with new aspect server. Please refer to atached image below (error.png).
When trying to change RTA Network and Node number we get an error saying: 'Illegal Network/Node address, old address remains' (rta.png).
Also we are no table to choose Start or Stop command in RTA Bord Control tab.
Does anyone has any idea why is this happening and how to solve the problem.
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
please post how is PU410 connected to your server.
PU410 should be connected by 2 Cat5e cross-over ethernet cables directly to 2 NIC ethernet cards in Connectivity server reserved only for PU410. PU410 connection through switch is not allowed.
Default IP addresses of PU410 ports PC1, PC2 are: 172.16.168.50 and 172.17.168.50 . Therefore 2 NIC of your server should have IP addresses like 172.16.168.1 and 172.17.168.1 and mask 255.255.252.0 .
Set both NIC cards to 100MBit full duplex in server.
Set MB300 bus number and node number of PU410 then in Control structure. It should work! I hope it helps
Thank you for your answer!
At the moment we dont yet have controllers connected to the RTA board, but the board is connected with server just like you described, and IP addresses are set.
Also, we are able to ping both PC ports.
Side note : Do not use Network no 12. Network 12 ( and 13, 14 15 etc ) are redundant networks for Network 11. Network number should allways be 11, 21, 31 etc.
See Kamil's advice for Ethernet port settings on the server. Make sure youve configured RNRP for the dedicated redundant connections to the PU410 and configure RNRP to use a UNIQUE area number with LOCAL=TRUE.
Hi, did you already have a system and want to add a PU410 afterwards?
Was there a PU515 RTA previously and/or is the system restored from a backup?
Is it SV5.1 or SV6.0?
In case of SV5.1 please read the manual 3BUA000156-511_E_en_System_800xA_5.1_Post_Installation, from page 109 it is described how to create an MB300 node number, create a new RTA, set net/node and so on.
The node type should be either connectivity server or aspect/connectivity server and the Advant Master sw must be installed with PU410 support to install the drivers for the RTA board. If you have added the server as AS only you can remove it and add again as an AS/CS.
In case there has been a PU515 board previously installed the Advant master must be reinstalled with PU410 support to change to the correct drivers.
In case you have SV6.0 there is a completely different story since the configuration and installation is done from the SCC, new system installer.
Please revert with your findings.

P.s. which software is required for RTA board configuration? For now we have Control builder M and On-line builder from Control builder A
